Camtasia tutorials from Techsmith
Camtasia Studio allows you to record anything that you can view on your computer screen; including software applications, web pages, PowerPoint presentations, and much more.
Here is the link for some video screen cast and other information from Camtasia.
If you have not used this piece of software, I would suggest that you take a look. I saw a nice video that I published the other day and asked the creator what he used: It it a little little more that I would expected, but he does produce some nice screen cast. Here is the feedback from him.

I’m using a few pieces of software to put together the videos.
1. Camstudio – Screen capture to AVI
2. VirtualDub – I use this to cut out any awkward silences or unwanted
scenes. I also use this program to extract the audio channel as a wav
file so I can make some post-production edits in Audacity. After I am
done with the edits, I incorporate the wav file back into the AVI.
3. Audacity – A sound editing program. I open the wav file and use a
"deessing" plugin to
soften the S’s in my voice.
4. PowerPoint 2003 – for the slides that I create.
5. Chrome – the Google web browser. it’s more compact and better for
seeing the maximum amount of web page.
