You must read this report.

Investigators from the EPA Inspector General’s office issued a report that outlines a variety of problems in the agency’s “risk management program,” or RMP. The RMP was created as an amendment to the 1990 Clean Air Act. It required certain industrial facilities to file Risk Management Plans designed to “reduce the likelihood of airborne chemical releases that could harm the public, and mitigate the consequences of releases that do occur.”

Nice article on using incentive program.  I am not a fans for just giving out incentive, just be cause.  These type of incentives must be tied to some activity that the employee performs.  Remember, “There is no Free Lunch.”

But other workers regard them as a curse, as a way to mobilize peer pressure against workers who might consider reporting an injury.

Ed. Note: Once in a great while, after 200 posts or so, I use this space to communicate what it is we do here. Ok, it is basically an advertisement for our company. But I hope you know and trust me enough by now to know I wouldn’t steer you wrong.

I have said before that the real test of a new company or product is simple: Does it solve a problem? Would life be better, more convenient, less costly, or more efficient if only we had YOUR product? Answering this question, or stimulating a conversation about it, is at the heart of our nation’s economy. Or, someone has to sell something. Well, it might as well be me today. If you are a job seeker, or even a blog/website, here are some things you don’t know about LinkUp. But should. Until LinkUp, job seekers had some real problems finding a decent job.
