If we do not keep a handle on how we think and the attitude we take towards others, we set expectations that are unachievable because we didn’t take the history of human nature into account. We can quickly go negative. Or we set ourselves up for failure by not planning the tasks to account for human nature. Read history. Find comments like Washington’s.
History will show the highs and lows, needs and expectations of human nature. Don’t assume your message is going to be accepted just because you said it was so. Factor in the thoughts, feelings, needs and capacity of others. Then you might improve the chances that you and your ideas are accepted.
